A sensor shield is recommended for use with external temperature and/or humidity sensors for two reasons. Firstly, it can help prolong the life of your sensor by protecting it from precipitation. Secondly, it can help to ensure accurate readings, by providing protection from direct sunlight.
The sensor shield can be used with wireless outdoor sensors, but also features a hole at the bottom allowing it to be used with probe wire sensors too.
The sensor shield comes complete with mounting screws, dowels, cable ties and two pieces of double-sided Velcro, to allow you to secure your sensor with ease.
See the Features tab for a list of compatible sensors.
