The Lorraine Cross Thermometer Rail is an internal mounting frame designed for installation inside the MET-01 Stevenson Screen. It provides secure, accurate positioning for thermometers and hygrometers, ensuring instruments are held at the correct height and orientation for reliable ambient air temperature readings while remaining shielded from direct sunlight and precipitation.
The cross allows users to vertically mount two standard thermometers to form a hygrometer, alongside one horizontally mounted maximum thermometer and one horizontally mounted minimum thermometer. The rail comes complete with brass clips for easy and secure attachment of thermometers.
