Correcting Faults With Your Thermometer

Correcting Faults

Although each thermometer is individually checked and tested before it leaves our offices, it is possible that the spirit column may have separated in transit. This is not a problem and the following procedure should cure it:

FIRMLY grasp the thermometer at the top, holding it with your arm upwards and the thermometer upside down. Stand clear of any objects and with a sharp movement thrust your arm downwards. Repeat until the spirit or mercury joins together.
